RECOMMENDED INDUSTRIAL COMPRESSORS

Pressure and air flow: what you need to know for dry ice blasting

In 85% of cases, dry ice blasting is performed with a pressure of 6 to 7 barand an air flow between 3 000 and 5 000 liters per minute.

👉 The vast majority of companies are already equipped with compressors compatible with these specifications.

However, certain specific applications require higher pressure:

  • In 10% of cases, pressures of 8 to 10 barare used.

  • In approximately 5% of situations, pressure can reach 11 to 12 bar, with air flows between 5 000 and 8 000 l/min.

🧠 Good to know : A properly sized compressor is key to guaranteeing optimal results in dry ice blasting, while ensuring controlled dry ice consumption.
