ATX nano DS positioning
The ATX nano is a dry ice blasting machine designed for small and medium surfaces, when precise control and adaptation to sensitive substrates are required. Adjustment of pressure and control of dry ice flow allow adjustment of aggressiveness and efficiency according to the objective: degreasing, restoration, preventive cleaning…
Typical applications of the ATX nano dry ice blaster
The ATX nano is designed for industrial applications requiring precise and controlled dry ice blasting, particularly on sensitive surfaces or technical equipment. Its design allows fine adjustment of pressure and dry ice flow to adapt cleaning intensity to each substrate, without risk of damage.
This adaptability makes it a particularly versatile machine for cleaning electrical cabinets, electronic components, plastic molds or industrial equipment. It is ideal for preventive maintenance operations, where process control and setting stability are essential to ensure consistent results.
The ATX nano stands out for its ability to work on small and medium surfaces with precision, while limiting air consumption and dry ice use. It is designed for environments where cleaning control takes priority over raw power, particularly when the objective is to preserve substrate integrity while ensuring effective and reproducible cleaning.

MSP 5000 CompressorFAQ – ATX nano
Short answers, field-oriented: pressure, dry ice, electrical cabinets, compressed air, limitations.
Can electrical cabinets be cleaned with the ATX nano? Sensitive environment
Yes, if the method is controlled. The ATX nano is suitable thanks to fine pressure regulation and dry ice flow control. Optionally use the fragmentation nozzle and Delrin nozzles.
- Priority: securing (power off, protections, masking).
- Setting: start low, validate, then increase gradually.
- Key factor: distance + nozzle + pressure matter as much as the machine.
What working pressure should be used with the ATX nano? Setting
Pressure depends on the substrate and contaminant. The ATX nano allows precise adjustment from 0.5 to 16 bar.
- Good practice: start low, increase in short increments.
- Objective: clean result without marking or "over-aggression".
What type of dry ice should be used? Consumable
The ATX nano is designed for dry ice pellets (3 mm). Dry ice quality directly influences efficiency.
- Target: fresh dry ice, short storage, minimize losses.
- Symptom: "tired" dry ice = reduced impact + unstable settings.
Why is compressed air critical? Performance
Because performance depends on usable flow at the blast gun (and stability), not just compressor pressure.
- Pressure drop: lengths/diameters/hoses = efficiency drops.
- Air quality: drying/treatment = more consistent blasting, fewer issues.
See: Compressed air & dry ice blasting · Compressed air sizing
Which nozzle to choose (S / M / L / fragmentation)? Nozzles
Nozzle selection determines impact, precision and "usable" flow. Adapt according to area, fragility and objective.
- S: fine areas, precision, very sensitive substrates.
- M/L: higher productivity, more open surfaces.
- Fragmentation: adjust impact/particle size according to surface and contaminant.
Is the ATX nano suitable for extreme fouling? Limitations
No: the ATX nano is oriented toward precision and control. For thick deposits, large surfaces or heavy corrective work, a more "output-oriented" machine is often preferable. See ATX25-E.
