Silicon pickling in the manufacture of photovoltaic panels

The pickling of silicon, deposits on the transport rollers, is currently carried out by ultrasound.

However, the process requires a prolonged shutdown of the manufacturing process due to disassembly, processing and reassembly.

The use of the ATX20 Cryoblaster (replaced by ATX nano) allows an easy take-off of silicon without using detergents, solvents or other chemicals and without disassembly thanks to the projection of dry ice or cryogenic cleaning on silicon residues.

What happens to pollution after cryogenic cleaning?

The residue falls by gravity and a suction (or sweep) is enough to get rid of it. No water, no secondary waste that is difficult to reprocess: only silicon residues!

What savings?

The savings on processing are huge given the cost generated by changing the rolls: 150 to 200 euros/roll, production downtime (ultrasonic method).

The treatment by the ATX20 (replaced by ATX nano) makes it possible to give a second life to the roller for only 3 to 4 euros/roll of dry ice, used with the process of dry ice cleaning.
